Just one more day!

Today was another good day.  Had a bit more rain today than we have been having, but it didn't really impact our work too much.  This evening, we went to Big Stone Gap, VA to a park for a picnic with some of the homeowners.  The youth really enjoyed the playground and had a good time.   Here are updates from the youth perspectives.

Group 1:
Today our team went to a new house.  We worked for a gentleman named Paul and his family.  Our half our team put down paint tarps on the floor and painted the walls in one room.  We also put quick dry mud on cracks in the current baseboards for a cleaner look.   We also added baseboards and quarter round for parts of the home that were not finished yet.

Group 2:
Today our group spent the majority of the day sanding to remove the excess mud from the ceiling we’ve been working on.  We then we added more mud in spots that needed a little more in order to make the ceiling even to prepare for painting tomorrow.

Group 3:
We worked for this lady named Ronda today and she treats us amazing. We don’t deserve her. She gave us wax melts for our candles and she gave us all types of candy. She is so nice and appreciative of our help and we are so glad we got her as our homeowner. Today we continued replacing her deck boards and it started pouring. We also played with the cats.
